Deciding what the Lombard AC needs
An air conditioner that runs but cannot lower the room temperature needs a different conversation from one that will not start at all. Tell us whether the indoor fan runs, whether the outdoor unit starts and whether you have noticed ice or water. Those details help us prepare for diagnosis; they do not establish the cause before the equipment is tested. If you see ice, switch cooling off rather than continuing to run the system.
If the choice becomes repair versus replacement, ask how the failed part, the unit’s age and your past repair history affect the recommendation. A new outdoor condenser also changes the project: the Village of Lombard requires a permit and a final HVAC inspection for air conditioner installation. Ask who will handle those steps, what equipment is included in the written quote and how the indoor and outdoor parts will work together. The installation page explains the work in more detail.

Customer review
In a customer’s words
“Came out really quick to do a clean on the AC at the start of the season, and helped with way more than that. Found that the wires had been crossed at some point and shorted the unit, so we had to replace a few pieces when they came in the next day. Was extremely thorough and explained not just what was/wasn't going on, but how everything was connected, and made sure everything was connected and actually running before calling it fixed. Overall, a lovely experience and for a far more reasonable price than we expected. Would call again for sure. 5/5”
